As you are aware, we recently surveyed members regarding the desirability of moving our Thursday Competition to Wednesday.

The response was roughly two-to-one in favour of this move.

After protracted negotiations, we are pleased to announce that, from Wednesday 10 January 2018, we will be undertaking a four-week trial during which our Thursday competition will move to Wednesdays.

The advantages of this move are obvious:

• • It provides us with an additional 28 player slots at the sought-after times around 8am

  • There will be no non-member players in the midst of our competition block.

The results of this trial will be assessed after two weeks and again after 4 weeks.

Its success is in our hands; if there is a good uptake of slots by members, then this change will become permanent, if not, then we will revert to the Thursday competition and there will be no further opportunity to negotiate on this issue.

Please note that bookings will now open on Mondays at 7pm and the booking for the 10th January will open on Christmas night, 25th December.

We hope this satisfies those members who have been frustrated by not being able to book at a reasonable time and we are sure that if members take up this opportunity, Wednesdays will become our club’s exclusive midweek comp day.
