2025 President’s Cup

The 2025 President’s Cup final was played on Saturday 22 March.
Our 2 finalists were Graeme Fiddes and Minh Hou.
Graeme got through winning a few tough matches and knocking off last year’s winner in the 1/4 final…
R1 5&4 v Sash Bogdanovski.
R2 2&1 v Vasfi Arjo.
R3 2&1 v Dave Mithen.
Semi-Final 2up v Thabo Molwalefhe.
Minh got through beating a group of quality players whilst battling with his fitness.
R1 6&5 v Ben Ramsey
R2 4&2 v Mark Wilson.
R3 2up v Dale Sudborough.
Semi-final 2&1 v Lance Allen.
Both players arrived on a perfect day with plenty of confidence & raring to go.
The match started evenly, but after Graeme played a blinder on 7 to go 1 up, Minh put his drive off the 9th into the trees beside the 8th green and his injury started to show.
Graeme was getting comfortable with his game and won 3 on the trot to go 4 up, when Minh felt he couldn’t continue & conceded the match.
With the final result 6 & 5 (concession) we would like to congratulate club favourite, Graeme “Nipples” Fiddes – the 2025 President’s Cup winner.
