Members,

The works conducted adjacent to the 8th green have been completed, and the grass has bedded in.

As a result the temporary playing conditions have been lifted, and play returns to normal.

1- If your ball lands outside the margin of the penalty area (red stakes) and then comes to rest in the penalty area:

– Penalty relief may be taken within 2 club lengths the point at which the ball was last seen to cross the margin of the hazard, no closer to the hole, or

2 – If your ball comes to rest in the penalty area, without first crossing the margin of the penalty area: 

Penalty relief (one stroke) may be taken either;

– ‘back on line’ by keeping the point of entry between you and the flag,

– replay the stroke from the original place. Rule 17.1
