Wednesday 19th July 2023.

Alex Fabiani, Denny Lie and Al Fedone were on the par three 8th. Alex hit off first using driver with a half swing, the ball went high and finished right hand side of the green, then it was Al’s turn. He hit an 23 degree 4 hybrid and it was a high, straight shot which bounced on the green and then we didn’t see it anymore. 

Everyone thought it ran through, past the flag and off the back of the green. Denny hit his hybrid high and hit the left side of the flag and rolled just off the left side of the green.

When we got to the Alex saw seen his was just off to the right of the green, it wasn’t too bad, and he was happy with it. 

Al was looking for his, it wasn’t on the green so he was looking towards the ninth tee.  While he was looking for his ball Denny had found his ball just off the left side of the green. 

Al still hadn’t found his ball yet so Denny yelled “Look in the hole”, so Alex was the closet to the cup so he walked over to the hole and, guess what, there it was a Srixon with green stripes in the hole.  Alex (perhaps wondering why a random ball would be in the hole)  yelled out to Al “What were you playing?”.

He said “A Srixon with green stripes.” Alex said to him “You just hit a hole in one!”

Al was over the moon and he said that was his first and he was wrapt and Alex and Denny congratulated him on his hole in one and Alex told him to put the ball away as a souvenir of the hole in one.

Al was so pumped at his hole in one and we were happy for him.
