As our membership grows and the demographic and demand for tee times changes, different approaches are required to ensure everyone gets a fair chance to book into the tee time they desire. It appears that the 07:30 – 09:00 tee times are at a premium, and there are many players or groups that would like to play earlier.

With current bookings at groups of 4 – this means that rows are locked out and members have less chance of making a booking they would like. In an attempt to address this, the booking group size for the JULY – SEPTEMBER medal rounds (both midweek and monthly medal) will be restricted or limited to a group of 2. Please consider who your preferred your playing partner will be if you wish to book another player for these rounds. 

This will enable you to play with one regular or mate, and open the opportunities to others – you may be lucky enough to get your same 4 ball, if both pairs snag the same tee tie, otherwise you will get to meet other members and catch up with your mates after the round friend.

This approach will be initially trialed for 3 months to evaluate the impact and/or success in availing tee times to others and will be re-assessed after that period.

Other options will also be considered to address tee availability and member integration, including single player only bookings or random mixing of groups [in a 20 minute blocks – 07:20 – 07:40; 07:50-08:10 etc.].  We will assess the two person booking limit across the medal days commencing July to see how that goes first.
