October Pace of Play report

Published on 6th November 2022 in Uncategorized

Good afternoon Members,

Average round times for the month of October were;

  • Monday      4 hours  7 minutes,
  • Wednesday 4 hours 3 minutes,
  • Saturday     4 hours  19 minutes.

There were no breaches of the policy in October.

Congratulations to all as this is a great result.

A couple of reminders about pace of play;

  • Keep up with the group ahead of you and finish your round no more than 18 min behind
    them. If this is achieved then the round time will not be a factor in assessing your pace of
    play.
  • If you finish 18 min or more behind the group ahead then your round time will be a factor in
    considering if a breach of the rule has occurred.
  • Not having a group immediately behind you is not a valid reason for a slow round. Its always
    possible that a group behind could ‘catch you‘ and we have an obligation to the public
    golfers who follow us to not unreasonably hold them up.
  • Adjustments are made to group times when there is an empty tee time ahead of them.
    However you must make every effort to hold your position in the field and still be aware of
    your pace of play.
  • Keep a close eye on the MiScore app. The time in the top left corner indicates the time you
    have to complete the next hole. The time updates every time you enter the score from the
    previous hole.
  • Play your own ball before assisting someone else in your group finding there’s.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to ask a member of the match committee.
