Dear members,

Details of a wake to celebrate his life will be published as soon as they are available.

Update as at Sunday 2PM:
Neil had a turn for the worse on Saturday afternoon and underwent further surgery to relieve pressure.
He is now in an induced coma and is scheduled to undergo a CT scan today & the medical staff might try & bring him out to see if he can breathe on his own.
There has been a severe impact to the right side of his body & his speech.
His daughter Molly & son Niall have been in to see him with Denise and will go back to visit later today.
Updates will be provided as we know more, our thoughts are with Neil and his family, and we have offered assistance should it be required.
Regards and take care.
Stuart
Members,
This post is to advise that Neil McGlinchey suffered a stroke on Thursday evening (19 May) and was rushed to the Austin Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.
He has family present, and visitors are not permitted at the hospital. His kids were flying out from the Isle of Man today.
I am advised that he is responsive to the nurses and his family, but is not verbal at this stage. His left brain (right side) was affected and there is no prognosis at this early stage.
Out thoughts are with Neil and his family and we pray for a speedy and full recovery.
I will be the primary point of contact for any enquiries as Denise does not wish to be overwhelmed, we have offered what support and assistance we can, should it be required.
Take care,
Stuart
