Update!

Published on 8th July 2020 in Uncategorized

Members,

The Chief Health Officer has dictated that exercise outdoors can only be undertaken, with one other person, with social distancing measures.

As a result, Golf can only be played in PAIRS for at least the next 6 weeks, and the Range is closed (except for lessons).

To enable as many people to play as possible, Competitions will be 9 holes only.

There will be two entirely separate, graded competitions run simultaneously across the Front and Back 9, for each of Saturday, Sunday, Monday Wednesday (and Thursday Seniors).

There will be 2 booking sheets for each day, one off the 1st tee and one off the 10th tee. The competitions will be handicapped (2Ă—9 holes = one handicapped round) and prizes awarded in both competitions. A decision will be made on the fate of some events in due course, and some events may be run over consecutive weekends.

Entry conditions remain the same.

There will be no room for walk-ins or extra rounds or holes after your 9.

Let’s all do the right thing, keep the community and each other safe, and be grateful we can get 9 holes in!

Regards,

Stuart Thompson

President YGC
