On behalf of YGC, Belgravia Leisure and our native fauna everywhere – I would like to thank each and every member, visitor, friend and passer-by that chipped in, bought a sausage, a raffle ticket or placed a bid in the silent auction for the Titleist bag.

This fundraiser was originally intended to assist the Belgravia Foundation to offer sporting opportunities to underprivileged people, who otherwise may not have the opportunity to experience the joys, and frustrations, of golf. Belgravia requested that any funds raised be forwarded instead to wildlife rescue – in keeping with their commitment to our native fauna, and the principles of the Goanna Golf themed mini-golf.

Together we raised in excess of $2000 in just two days – the generosity of spirit has been amazing in these trying times, and hopefully the funds raised can be put to good use to rescue and rehabilitate our decimated koala, kangaroo, wombat, sugar glider, bush wallaby, flying fox, echidna, platypus and native Australian bee population to help regenerate the swaths of bush that have been torched.

My sincerest thanks to Jenny, Wilso & Robbie on the tongs, and Joe with his tenacity to make a raffle sale – also the pro shop staff that hooked in a number of YPLGC members and public to buy raffle tickets – fantastic work!
