Booking Sheet, Cancellations & Inclement Weather

Published on 15th June 2019 in Uncategorized

**** The booking sheet will be closed at 8:30PM the night before that day’s competition, (to booking changes only you can still check your tee times), and any late changes must be made by contacting the Match Committee, President or Pro-Shop who will also note the reason for the change.

So, if you are unsure of the weather forecast  it is recommended that cancel your booking before 8:30 PM the night before – and if it turns out to be a nicer day, or not as hot or wet as you thought; simply come down, and re-book into an available time slot through the Pro-shop.

*** Early notification of your intention to pull out of the following day’s competition will allow the system time to notify those on the waiting list if they have secured a spot, and allow your playing partners to re-organise so they are not left like a shag on a rock (as happened last Wednesday 12th June)

*Note: as always, exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration (eg; kidnapped by Russian mafia types, carjacked by youth gangs, family emergency…. but not “I might get wet” or “I felt like playing at Mandalay”)

Please note: Unless play is officially suspended by the Committee;-

  • you cannot delay your tee time – missing your allotted tee time will result in a 2 stroke penalty on the first holeany delay beyond 5 minutes will result in disqualification.
  • you can not stop half way, have lunch and a cuppa, and resume your round 1/2 hour or more later
  • any delay in continuing your round beyond 5 minutes will result in disqualification
  • it is not fair to those who persevere, if others are playing in different conditions, and it is outside the rules of golf.

REMINDER: If you mark someone’s card – record your name or you are both eliminated from the competition.

It’s a simple habit to get into – record their first hole score & write your name on the card!
