Scorecard requirements – effective 13 March 2019
Published on 29th April 2019 in UncategorizedAll,
A timely reminder to all our competitors:
If a player (or their marker) fails to sign their scorecard;
- they will not be eligible for any cash place prizes, Medals, ball run-down, Order of Merit or Eclectic results,
- they will not be eligible for any NTP, Eagles Nest or Holes-in-One,
- will effectively be disqualified from that competition,
- will not be eligible to continue in a multi-round event.
If a player (or their marker) fails to record their name or their marker’s name on the scorecard
- they will both be deemed ineligible for any prizes, and
- will be disqualified from the competition
- will not be eligible to continue in a multi-round event.
If the Committee during the administration of a competition are required to verify a score, or there is score dispute or discrepancy, they need to be able to identify who score who’s card. If the required details are not present, or are not clear – then the above will apply.
A notice describing the required actions is clearly displayed on the Scorecard box.
Commencing Wednesday 13 March – any scorecard without the the marker’s name legibly recorded will result in both player and marker being ineligible for any prize arising from that competition or continuing in a mutli-round competition.
If a player withdraws during a round, or fails to complete that round, and does not provide the reason (eg: injury, family emergency etc) the player may be awarded a “NSNA – No Score Not Approved”.
More that 3 of these in a set period will result in a handicap suspension or a return to ‘provisional handicap status’ and the inability to enter competitions.
If a round, or part thereof, of more than 8 holes has been completed, the scorecard will still be processed for handicapping purposes.
