Monday’s competition was played off the permanent gold markers.

Some groups (mine included) erroneously played off the temporary markers. 

On the 10th tee the group following us pointed out our error and I thank them for this. They dealt with this type of incident correctly.

If you cannot catch up with the group ahead, report the incident to a member of the match committee or, in their absence, a member of the committee. The relevant committee member will take up the protest with the relevant player(s).

Please do not make accusations against members to other players on the day or to other members in general. There was at least one such accusation broadcast on Monday. This is tantamount to trial by rumour and does nothing to promote a positive spirit within our Club.
